As a follow up on their latest single “Static”, the Danish electro pop siblings from OhNothing are now ready to release their long-awaited album “aNgelus”

OhNoting have managed to balance the duo’s danceable and reflective sides and showcase with this album how they craft their stylish electronic synth-pop, that’s as wide-ranging as it is distinctive, in their way of composing, producing, and writing music.

All done in their home built recording studio in Odense. With some help from the high in-demand Danish skilled producer Carsten Heller, who has co-produced the album with Jesper from the band.

The duo consists of Annika Baier (vocals, Microkorg) and Jesper Lund Rimmerhus Vesterager (bass-synth, synthesizer, perc., drums, choir) and is a refreshing addition to the world of synthpop.
Together, they have added new layers for the synth duo, with Vesterager resolutely in the background, as the producer, musician and tech-wiz, while Baier is the face and mouthpiece for the group.

“aNgelus” is a curated exhibition of an inspired painting, of the same title by Jean-Francois Millet, and is mean as an homage, -touching down on the joyous sounds of inventive artists, from ‘80s pop, the Berlin underground scene, to soft glam-rock and synthpop, into a adventurous work of art, where the only constant is the lavish arrangements and Annika Baier’s multi-facetted vocal performance.

OhNothing is powerful in their own right and with “aNgelus” they have brought their exuberant extremes together in a way that is as unmistakable and unpredictable as ever.

OhNothing have blasted onto the scene with their new “aNgelus”. If you liked the debut, you are going to love this one.

With a growing fan base in Germany, and Australia, as well as the rest of Eastern Europe, they are only to play very few concerts in DK in 2023 while they are putting the final touch on a tour of Germany and Eastern Europe for 2023/2024.

“aNgelus” is to be released on August 23, on Celebration records and will available on streaming, digital download and on glorious vinyl.
