You Don’t Need To Listen is a song gambling with the emotions around the state of the world today. The prelude reveals to the listener that the party of overconsumption has ended, and the time of lack has begun, as we’ve realized, to late, that everything is now crumbling around us.

One might think that the lyrics are filled with hopelessness, but here we’d like to point out, that hopelessness is just the bottom of the scale of hope. Even though that we know we can’t, nor would, save the earth (in the sense that it is livable for us), if we continue our ways, the lyrics also realizes that even after the darkness have fallen, we still will emit our last light (hope?), and maybe then be able to finally react on the cry that we’ve heard for such a long time. This, of course, doesn’t mean that we should wait for the darkness to fall to do something, but instead You Don’t Need To Listen are trying to portray the beauty of the last spark of hope, in a world where we might feel as if it is closing time.
